CompSci IoT Projects

One of the fastest-growing fields of technology is the Internet of Things (or IoT). This is the collection of all the sensors, user input devices, actuators, displays, and other pieces of digital hardware which connect themselves to the internet to take send and receive information automatically. Smart watches, video doorbells, personal assistants, thermostats - even refrigerators and cars – can dramatically expand their functionality by taking advantage of on-line storage and remote user input.

The students in the Computer Science: Programing and Robotics class have positioned 9 sensors attached to ethernet-enabled microprocessors around campus (and, in one case, in their back yard). The sensor collect data and upload it to the internet, where the students organize it and display it in tables and graphs. The links below will direct you to the students' web pages.
